John D. McGowan, P.C. was established in 1995 and is a local certified public accounting firm that is dedicated to providing its clients with high quality professional services which are tailored to the unique needs of each client. I have a diversified background of experience and specialization. My clients and previous experience include a variety of industries, including waste and waste removal, contractors, builders, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, professional firms, real estate developers, insurance agencies and a number of other service firms. All business and personal tax returns are prepared on my in-house system as well as all other general ledger, financial statement, fixed asset and other financial functions.
In 1995, my firm joined the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As a requirement of membership, a peer review of its members accounting and audit practice must be performed every three years. I successfully completed all peer reviews which commenced in January 1998 and received an unqualified opinion in every instance. In order to maintain my high quality of service to clients, I am constantly updating my knowledge in all areas of professional development, including accounting and auditing, taxation, and management advisory services. This is done through continuing professional education, industry group memberships, publications, and other forms of education.
